Fresh Breath Dog Treats Recipe
A fresh breath dog treats recipe? I know it seems like a weird thing to talk about but Doggy Dental Care Tops List Of Most. Frequently Diagnosed Health Problems.

There are nearly 44 million U.S. households that own approximately 74 million dogs. Although many of these owners treat their dog more like a family member and less like an animal, most are unaware of one of the biggest health risks for their dog.
The Best Fresh Breath Dog Treats Recipe
Periodontal disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets. In fact, more than 80 percent of dogs have it by the time they are 4 years old.
Just ouch.

While these aren’t going to brush your dog’s teeth, they will help clean them a bit with the oatmeal base. When paired with dry kibble you should be a little better off than if you do nothing at all.
Doggie Dental Care
We have talked about it before, but I never really went into the details as to why it was so important.
Pup Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease begins when bacteria and food debris build up along the dog’s gum line. Plaque is created and, soon after, tartar forms on the teeth. Eventually, the gums swell and pockets form that can trap bacteria and lead to more serious problems.
“Doggy breath, loose teeth, bleeding gums, mouth pain and even infections in the heart, liver and kidney are signs of advanced periodontal disease,” says Jan Bellows, DVM and owner of Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in Weston, Fla. “To avoid these health problems, owners must take steps to care for their dog’s teeth-much like they care for their own.”
Only one in five owners have ever attempted to brush their pet’s teeth and only 2 percent brush with enough frequency to maintain proper oral health.
(sigh)

Fresh Breath Dog Treats
These Fresh Breath Dog Treats are also good for those times you know something nasty was eaten. Some dogs actually have a thing for eating poop: theirs or cleaning out a cat box.
Who wouldn’t want to give them a mint after that?
Let’s look at some of the ingredients:
Can dogs eat oats?
Yes, just make sure that it is cooked. Raw oatmeal is harder for your dog to digest, but the cooked is beyond healthy.
Have no fear – we really process the oats, and then end up baking them so it should be more than safe.
Are carrots good treats for dogs?
According to the AKC:
Yes, dogs can eat carrots. Carrots are an excellent low-calorie snack that is high in fiber and beta-carotene, which produces vitamin A. Plus, crunching on this orange veggie is great for your dog’s teeth (and fun).
So, that would be a yes. Just keep in mind the rule of moderation. They have fiber and too much of that is bad for them. No more than one average sized carrot a day, regardless of if it is in food, treats, or they grab it from counter surfing.
Are bananas good for dogs?
All experts agree – bananas are an excellent treat for dogs and all parts can be enjoyed! That is what makes these such a great base in this recipe.
We are just adding a little parsley (safe) and yogurt, which is also OK for dogs.
