Air Fryer Peanut Butter Apple Dog Treats
The actual yield of this recipe will depend on cookie cutter size you use – if you use a 1.5-inch round cutter, you will get about 60 crackers.
Are apples good for your dog?
Apple slices make a delicious, healthy snack for your dog and can help keep your dog’s teeth clean and breath fresh. However, the core of the apple and the apple seeds especially can be harmful to dogs. Apple seeds contain a small amount of cyanide which is released when they’re broken or chewed.
The variety of apple doesn’t make a difference, and in general, keeping them as a special treat instead of daily diet and you shouldn’t have any issues with weight management.
Is Peanut Butter good for your dog?
What Type of Peanut Butter is Best for Dogs? Generally speaking, any peanut butter that doesn’t contain xylitol (or chocolate) should be fine for a dog. It can be a good source of protein and healthy fat for your dog — in moderation, of course. However, some peanut butter is healthier than others.
We like to opt for natural peanut butter – or even organic. Bark Bistro makes a great “Buddy Budder” that is very safe for Fido. No hydrogenated oil, palm oil, high fructose corn syrup, stabilizers, xylitol, added sugar or salt can be found in it – so that is a win for us!

Can you use an Air Fryer to make dog treats?
Yes. By most measures, air frying is healthier than frying in oil. It cuts calories by 70% to 80% and has a lot less fat. This cooking method might also cut down on some of the other harmful effects of oil frying, such as carcinogens, etc.
It also lets you make crispier treats in less time – than if you had used your oven. Ovens tend to dry our food over the longer cooking times and you need to add fat to accommodate that fact to prevent the food from basically becoming shoe leather.
Less fat is good for all of us – right?

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I found this during my search for something concerning this.
